CS 197: Internship: Work Based Learning Seminar

Students participating in internships share feedback and discussion to integrate work-based learning experiences with classroom instruction. Students are expected to participate in class discussions and develop a computer science career-based employment resume.

Prerequisites

Concurrent enrollment in CS 195
Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:

  1. Meet information technology industry entry-level employability standards
  2. Create a professional résumé

Course Content Outline
  1. Sharing individual experiences in weekly discussion sessions
  2. Developing a professional resume
  3. Creating a computer science career-based documentation of work experience, computer certifications, projects, and professional affiliations
