This course introduces students to the concepts and application of leadership, human development, communication, and team building to enhance their ability to competently and confidentially work with students and learning communities.

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding of leadership theory.
- Critically evaluate the role of a student leader.
- Assess leadership skills and competencies as they relate to the social/interpersonal development of students.
- Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, and group facilitation skills.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of campus resources available to BBCC students.
- Assess potential campus threats and demonstrate compliance with campus policies.
- Apply and model effective problem-solving skills with fellow students.
- Demonstrate effective use of social media as publicity tool.
