A supervised work experience in the automotive technology field to enhance the application of classroom instruction and skills and/or area of specialization approved by the program instructor. May be repeated up to twelve (12) credits.

Concurrent enrollment in AUT 297
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:
- Obtain skills to improve employability in an entry-level Automotive Technology related position
- Acquire employment and professional contacts outside the classroom
- Gain experience in a practical work environment.
Course Content Outline
Students are expected to keep a daily journal of their experiences, duties, thoughts, objectives, new information, and generally anything related to learning new information and skills.
Students will be evaluated by their work experience supervisor.
Students will evaluate their work experience and employer every three (3) weeks.
Students will evaluate themselves.
Other assignments may be given at the discretion of their work experience advisor.
