Advanced experiments and design in clay applied to pottery and sculpture by working in various hand construction methods and in pottery wheel, glazing and kiln firing.

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:
- Students will utilize skills of various working methods to demonstrate self-directed artistic activity.
- Students will be able to demonstrate critical analysis applied to their own work and the work of others.
- Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental ceramic studio practice, techniques, and various creative methodologies for its intended purpose.
Course Content Outline
- Including more complex form, glaze theory and experimentation in the making of objects.
- Create a series using a chosen working method or variety of methods: pinch, slab construction, modeling and hollowing, or throwing.
