OPD 049: Beyond High School

Class Program

This course is designed to help students determine their post-high school plan, personal pathway, and meet the graduation requirements for high school. High school completion only. Students may earn 0.25-1 HS credit equal to 1.25-5.0 college units.

Prerequisites

Students must be enrolled in a Basic Skills class.

Course Outcomes

Students will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills by completing corresponding course module assessments with a seventy-percent (70%) or higher assessment result.

  1. Identify future career goals aided by personal and professional interest assessments.
  1. Examine personal pathway requirements within one of three pathways: college, career, or military.
  1. Prepare a resume and cover letter.
  1. Complete Student Planner with intended quarterly course map needed for high school completion.
Program Outcomes

Students will demonstrate an increase in computer literacy and proficiency in using technology for academic and professional purposes.
