The course provides math instruction in interpreting graphs and charts with algebraic expressions and equations to meet the math skills required for high school graduation. For high school completion credit only. May be repeated as needed.

Students must be enrolled in a Basic Skills class
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:

- Add, subtract, multiply, divide with negatives and positives
- Solve order of operations problems
- Solve percent and proportion problems
- Evaluate formulas
- Distribute and combine like terms
- Simplify problems with exponent properties
- Solve multi-step linear equations
- Graphs of linear equations including slope and equations of lines
- Multiply binomials (FOIL)
- Factor trinomials and solve by factoring
