This course is intended for students taking the CompTIA A+ certification exam. Content from the prerequisite courses will prepare the students for the exams. Instructors for this course will provide materials, support, and practice exams to facilitate student preparation

CS 103 or CS 104 and CS 105 or instructor permission.

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:

Department Guidelines

A+ certification requires two exams for certification. Students who attempt the certification exams and earn 60% or more of the points will earn credit in the course. Successfully meeting the CompTIA A+ scoring requirement (~80%) will result in earning the certification. Scores between 60 and 100% will be graded using the standard BBCC grading policies and grade points.
