Electrical theory, operation and set-up of variable frequency drives (VFD’s), soft start devices, 4-20 ma. control loops and grounding issues associated with electronic devices.

IST 207 or instructor permission
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:
- Demonstrate the setup of proper operating perimeters for individual devices
- Demonstrate comprehension of manufacturers installation & operating instructions, safety protocols
- Demonstrate knowledge of operating principles of Industrial controllers and control automation networks.
