IST 111: National Electric Code II

Application of the Washington State electrical laws (WAG codes) and the National Electric Code as they pertain to the working electrical technician.

Prerequisites

IST 110 or instructor permission
Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:

  1. The student will be able to apply National Electric Code requirements to wiring techniques while trouble-shooting and maintaining electrical equipment and installations.
  2. The student will be able to apply Washington Administrative Code requirements to wiring techniques while trouble-shooting and maintaining electrical equipment and installations.
  3. The Student will be able to demonstrate an awareness of legal liabilities and ramifications involved in the installation of electrical apparatus
