BIM 109B: Internet Communications

This course is a continuation from BIM 109A and will introduce the functions of Outlook teaching students how to manage and update contacts and creating and managing tasks using Outlook. This class teaches to and requires the most current version of Microsoft Office for Windows.

Successful completion of BIM 109A or BIM 109 or corequisite in BIM 109A

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:

  1. Demonstrate the mastery of general terminology and activities required to manage and update contacts, and creating and managing task using good email practices

PO5        Students will develop proficient Microsoft Office techniques by creating professional business documents while meeting an 85% competency level

The syllabus must contain evaluation/grading guidelines, class environment/expectations/rules, course learning outcomes, and a disability services statement. A schedule must be provided to students that contains content covered (text chapters, topics, etc.), tentative test dates (to include final date/time). If an LMS or similar site is used for the course, it must be created following the Quality Matters (QM) principals outlined in the QM workbook questions. These documents should be reviewed with the BIM instructor at least two weeks prior to class start.
