The student shall review and practice the flight maneuvers presented so far, concentrating on those specified by the instructor. - SIMULATOR INSTRUMENT FLIGHT
Refamiliarize the student with instrument procedures and basic instrument work using both the control and performance method and the primary and supporting method. The student shall review selected maneuvers and procedures, and shall practice use of the VOR and ADF. - CROSS-COUNTRY SOLO REVIEW
The student shall plan and complete a cross-country solo to unfamiliar airports* using various modes of navigation, and make all necessary radio communication. - REVIEW AND BASIC INSTRUMENT FLIGHT
The student shall review procedures and maneuvers in flight, and shall do climbs, glides, turns, and turns to headings by instrument reference only. - CROSS-WIND TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS (PROFICIENCY)
The student shall gain experience in strong winds and learn to take off and land safely in cross winds. - TAKE-OFFS AND LANDINGS

The student shall review and practice those maneuvers assigned by the instructor. Special emphasis should be given to any troublesome item discovered on the previous lesson. - REVIEW
The student shall practice previously learned maneuvers. - SIMULATOR PROFICIENCY
The student shall review and practice those maneuvers as assigned by the instructor, including tracking to and from the VOR and ADF. - LONG CROSS-COUNTRY
The student shall plan and execute a cross-country solo to two approved airports and return, using various modes of navigation, and making the necessary radio communications. Distance between airport of original departure and one other airport must be 92 or more nautical miles, total distance must be at least 240 NM (preferred route is Coeur d’Alene, Walla Walla, MWH, alternate route Pendleton, Yakima, Moses Lake. However, other routes may be authorized.). - REVIEW
The student shall review and practice the basic and precision flight maneuvers learned previously as specified by the flight instructor including VOR. Special emphasis will be placed on those maneuvers that will be on the final flight check. - REVIEW AND PREPARATION
The student will perform listed maneuvers and procedures in preparation for the stage check. - STAGE 3 FLIGHT CHECK
The student shall demonstrate competency in the specified pilot operations (expect oral questions at intervals during the check).
