This course covers the operation and repair of automotive convenience systems. Classroom and laboratory lessons include power windows, power seats, air bag system testing and servicing, as well as minor door, hood, window, and trunk adjustments. The procedure to perform a proper Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) will be covered and Washington State auto repair laws and how they effect the repair technician will be discussed.

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge or skills:
The student will develop a working knowledge and skills in the diagnosis and repair of the automobile's power mechanisms for windshield wipers and washers, windows, door locks, power seats, rear window defoggers, and adjustments for doors, hoods, and trunk lids. The student will learn safe Supplemental Inflatable Restraint System (Air Bag) service procedures. The student will learn a Dealership Pre-delivery Inspection Procedure and how Washington State repair laws affect a technician.Institutional Outcomes
